In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Happy Place.”
I don’t know how it started, or even when really. But for as long as my sister’s children have been alive (nearly 21 years at least) my happy place has been the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. We go for adventures into the Gardens each school holidays if we can, no matter the weather we love it. Her youngest came with us to the Gardens for the first time when he was 10 days old.
It is big and green, wide and quiet.
There are views of the city, places to to hide, lawns to laze on, rest and read a book.
There are places to play … an even now at 10, 17 and 20 they love the Children’s Garden and all the exploration it brings.
