… ANZAC Day and I suddenly had a huge rush of energy this cold rainy afternoon. So I made soup and corn fritters and ANZACS!
I got out my mum’s recipe book, there in her beautiful hand writing was the recipe I needed for today.
The smell as the butter, syrup and bicarb was poured into the oats, sugar, flour and coconut … the memories connected with that smell are there somewhere but all I got was warmth and joy!
Chewy or crunchy? Which do you prefer? A bit of both … perhaps more crunch!
