friends and family
questions asked
of life, love, joy, self,
challenged
quizzical looks
long pauses
answers given
souls revealed
annoying but accepted
thoughts set in motion
new questions from old
one after the other
trapped
screaming inside a head that just wants to stop or hide
no judgement
ultimate acceptance
Fifty words – The questions that make you go hmmm …

I enjoy the flow of your work! The lines in the middle set the pace and tone brilliantly for me
‘long pauses
answers given
souls revealed.’
Good poem.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback … that’s my favourite part, I see the faces as they pause and my surprised face as the souls are presented for me to keep safe.
