Life and death Pompeii and Herculaneum at the British Museum

This was a really well put together exhibition. I loved the way it was set out, as a typical house of the time in Pompeii or Herculaneum. The information was excellent, I knew a little but have not been to Pompeii. I was able to read about the eruption, the impact, the aftermath.
This exhibition gave me the opportunity to see everyday items, things from homes, the way homes were decorated, presented, the artefacts, carbonised wood, glass, gold, silver, the frescoes.

To read of the lives, of the silicon woman and the family … indeed frightening to think of their end.

A great exhibition!
